Kittens are amused by anything! (Gratuitous kitty & puppy pictures)
The other day I left the office to do something for a few minutes. My screen saver kicked in. It's that one of the photo-realistic fish swimming around. When I came back in I found Dot on the desk trying to catch the fishies.

And just so the other girls don't get jealous...

1. aww w w w w , that's cute!
Somehow my little guys are not attracted by movement on tv or even in a mirror. They say if it's not the real thing, .... then it's not the real thing. They do consider things seen through the window glass to be the real thing. Go figure.

2. About a decade ago in the Tinicum wildlife refuge
(stick with me, here, it is really about my kitty) I got about a minute of really good live-action video of a female Redstart. It was the one success of my wildlife videographer period.

My stray tabby Alexander Berkman (Sasha) loved that tape -- I made it loop and he could chase that birdie as long as it was on.

Sasha RIP 1998.

5. thanks, Will. Made my morning.
I keep asking Mrs. V. if we can get a new kitten, but she thinks six cats are enough.

PS Haven't forgotten about talking about f/r ideas for the humane society...

15. I think you win Most Original
DU name! I love that, Bertha Venation. lol

As for my cat, she doesn't pay attention to the TV at all, but loves to come sit right on the newspaper when I'm trying to read it. I guess she's one of those latte-drinking NY Times-reading elitists.

6. Awwwwwwwww! My first printer was a dot matrix, and when it started
up, my cats (who were kittens then) hopped on top of it and didn't know what the f**k was going on. They looked so confused it was simply adorable! Wish I had a digital camera way back when--I did take regular photos of their mystification, though.

7. My cat 's Harlon and Maisy used to pounce my tv.
When I played this playstation game 'Command&Conquer Red Alert Retaliation'. All the tanks and my pointer would attract them to pounce the screen.

They also fight real hard before Ohio State games start early saturday morning. You'll come out into the living room and plants will be knocked over. Or the rug will be full of their white cat hair(They're tuxedo cats).

11. Pooky attacks himself in the TV when it is turned off...
he apparently sees his reflection and thinks it is another cat. At night he sees movement in the TV because of my reading light and thinks that the movement is something to attack.

13. My cat Dobbs goes after my cursor every now and then...
He'll take notice of it all of a sudden, let out his "war whoop" (which sounds like "Meh-meh-meh-meh-meh"), and bat at the cursor.

I make it "disappear" at the bottom margin, and he goes under my flat-panel screen.

He's a nut, but he's my nut!

17. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
My Rhiannon wouldn't pay attention to what was happening on the screen; she was more interested in my fingers. She would nip at them if they were being used to type and not petting her, LOL!:D
