For my 50,001 post - an anniversary: 5 years ago today I met Khephra

I'll always remember this day because it was the day before St. Patty's day that we held the first major DU party ever held and it was hosted by yours truly and my fabulous partner in crime, Ramsey. We had a great blow-out at Dave & Busters in Philadelphia with 80+ DUers in attendance including Khephra, WillPitt, all 3 DU Admin and many many many other wonderful DUers that I've met and have established wonderful friendships throughout the year.

I think it's appropriate to make my 50,001 post as a dedication to Khephra, a wonderful man who was one of the first major posters here at DUer and a person who touched the lives of so many of us here. Everyday he faithfully posted the headlines of the late breaking news and kept up with the happenings on C-Span for us cube rates not near a TV.

Over a year ago I received a call from WillPitt. He was the one that called to tell me that Khephra had passed away. I was absolutely devastated to hear the passing of such a good-hearted person.

Khephra was probably the first DUer to hit 50K posts here at DU (and probably posts of more significant quality that what I've done) and therefore I dedicated #50,001 to one of the best DUers ever - Khephra. You may be gone from this earth but you will never be gone from our hearts

I've only been on DU for a little less than two years, and I'm sorry that I don't remember Khephra. Everything I've ever heard about him has always been so positive. He was obviously very well-loved and respected here.

This was a beautiful post in remembrance of your friend. Thank you.
