I think everyone in the 'real' world is conspiring to piss me off today.

We found a DVD that I wanted at a game store. Took the empty sleeve up to the counter and they couldn't find the movie.

Drove home. The usual stupid people who should never have bought the box of Cracker Jacks that held their license.

Got home. Opened the mail. There was a collections letter from a company called CFC Financial for phone service that someone starting using my Social Security number! I had called them back about this like 2 weeks ago and sent the forms they asked me for which showed that I live here and not at the address where the phone service was started. Todays mail is one of those "we'll make you a deal" kind of things but now the amount is almost double what it was originally! I tried to call SBC about it but they told me that they sold the account to collections and could give me no information. The only good thing is that no one else is using my SS number with them. Tried to call the collections company and, naturally, they are closed.

Had a huge headache so went to lay down. Misty and Heidi got on the bed and Heidi lay down on my chest. Paul comes in and asks them if they want to go out. The 6 inch gash on my side shows they did indeed.

Oh, and lest I forget...I'm installing some forum software on our website and something went 'hiccup' and corrupted a file and now I have to re-do the entire thing.

If there is such a thing as Karma I must have been a horrible person in my past life.

1. Relax.
Think of kittens and puppies. Have a drink. Put on some music. Take a bubble bath. Put in a DVD of your favorite comedy and crack yourself up. Or put in a drama and bawl your eyes out.

Today is a new day. :)

I know it ain't much consolation, but I'm sure you can imagine much worse positions to be in. If not, give me a holler and I could tell you a few.

Cheers

5. That's it? That's all that went wrong?
My god. I would count that as a really good day from where I'm sitting.

I don't know how to tell you this, but, in reincarnation terms, the life you're having now is called a vacation.

you haven't been a horrible person in this life?

Oops, sorry , that was contempt & you wanted compassion.

Do you mean like nobody's loved you before ?

Because Frankly saying something stupid , like I love you,

8. <SNARF>
I have been horrible in this life but figured I wouldn't have to pay for it until NEXT life. Kind of like a cosmic lay-away plan.

9. Thqt's terrible about the identity theft!
What a pain in the a**! And of course to clear it up you have to deal with uncaring, worthless bureacracies.

Good luck! At least you have your pets!

10. Bad moments help us better appreciate the good
If we had only good things that happened to us, we would not know that we had a good life. We would catastrophisize over even less tragic things. Things will get better.

12. Carbs.
No, really! Carbs are the answer!

May I suggest...go get some great ice cream (I like Ben and Jerry's). And some Hershey's chocolate syrup. And nuts - pecans or walnuts. And maybe some of that canned whipped cream.

Now, take half a pint of ice cream (Be careful not to overdose!), and put on lots of everything good!

Settle back, eat it slowly, and enjoy every sinful bite.

Life will look lots better! :bounce:
