Soundtrack to your own Personal Hell...
Okay, the game's up, and you wind up in Hell. Your ears can detect a non-stop parade of the music you winced at on this Earth. What does Satan use to torment you aurally for the duration of Eternity?

My list includes:
"Love Potion #9."
"Kokomo."
"Ferry cross the Mercy"

"Hard Knock Life" either version--Annie soundtrack or Jay-Z swearing over the Annie soundtrack (there's some solid musicianship!)

"Calling All Angels" by whiny alternacrap band of unknown name.

ANY song by Neil Diamond--"There are two types of people in this world, those who like Neil Diamond, and those that don't." Bill Murray as "bob"

ANY song by Hank Williams JUNIOR. The generational anomaly. Senior is great, III is great. Jr. sucks ass. Satan will probably choose his awful cover of Warren Zevon's great "Lawyers Guns and Money," just so I can constantly be reminded of the original I'll never get to hear...

"Say my name" Destiny's Cleavage.

"Baby, I'm amazed" by Lonestar. Anything by Alabama.

"Tom Sawyer" by Rush. Anything else, for that matter.

"Hold on to the Night" Richard Marx. I will be bargaining with Old Scratch: "Please, beelz, just anally rape me again. No Dicky Marx, please..."

"I want Money" by anonymous 80's duo that wasn't Sly Fox.

"Nothing gonna break my stride" by Matthew Wilder, paired as a "twofer!" on Tuesdays with Taco's "Puttin' On the Ritz."

The Cher song where they distort her voice until she sounds like a Cylon. "Do you beleev@^#*@*@*@..."

Every other Cher song.

The list, like the beat, goes on...

suck but so do all of the "artists". On the other hand, do you really think that a bunch of right wingers really know anything about art? :eyes:

4. "Calling All Angels" by Jane Sibe
is a great song!

I can't beleive you don't like it. It's one of my favorites, and you are the first person I have ever seen make reference to it anywhere!

Do you have the soundtrack "Until the End of the World"? Good movie, great music.

9. no, no, no, wrong song, same title
Some Creedy band has a hit right now of the same title. BTW, the best song on that soundtrack is the one with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. "...drivin' outta London on my way to YOU!"

13. (I'll love you) Till The End Of The World.
Yeah, that is a kick-ass song.

I'm listening to the album now. "It was amazeing I got out alive...the whole 3rd floor of the hotel gutted by the blast."

Oh yeah, great song.

I also like Humans From Earth from T-bone.

10. An eclectic collection from over the decades
"Yummy Yummy Yummy I've Got Love in My Tummy" and all similar 1960s bubble gum rock, including everything ever recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells

Anything by Bread

Anything by Vanilla Fudge

"And Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," by Crystal Gale

"I Need a Hero"--always struck me as the perfect Reagan-era military recruitment song

"Seasons in the Sun"

"Havin' My Baby"

"You Gotta Fight For Your Right to Paaaaaaaaaaartee!" And this during a period when the Reagan administration was doing all sorts of evil things

"Wichita Lineman"

"Macarthur Park" and its less-known but equally absurd follow-up "The Yard Went On Forever"

24. Ya got my list, Lydia Leftcoast,
except for maybe "You Keep Me Hanging On" by Vanilla Fudge, which I thought was pretty funny.

And all of y'all worried about "Stairway to Heaven" don't need to be...it will be played in heaven :P (while I am hearing late-50's-early-60's teen idols like Fabian. Aaarrrgghhhhh!!!).

16. Oh, my God! Some finally agrees that Steve Miller = pure dreck.
Are you also of the opinion "...abra, abracadabra, I wanna reach out and grab ya" is one of the worst lyrics ever put to music?

My Soundtrack?

Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band
Anything that is REO Speedwagon
Mr. Roboto - Styx
Gloria - Laura Branigan
Anything by Foreigner
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Cat Scratch Fever - Mr. Kill 'em 'n Grill 'em
Anything Crystal Gayle
Anything Charlie Daniels

I could go on... perhaps release a "More music from the soundtrack of 'My Own Personal Hell'", but I won't.

For now.

"brown eyed girl"
"i will survive"
"jesse's girl" - rick springfield
"hotel california"

... and just about any of these wretched "Nu Metal" bands like Nickelback. Could someone *please* tell me what the hell they're all talking about?

21. My "Oh, my God, I'm in hell!" soundtrack:

"Angie" by the Rolling Stones

The LONG version of "Stairway to Heaven"

"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns n' Roses

Any REO Speedwagon song

Any Styx song

"Alone Again, Naturally" by Gilbert O' Sullivan, which just might be the most depressing song ever recorded. I'm in hell for all eternity...I don't need to be eternally depressed

"Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks. Enough said

"You're Having My Baby" Paul Anka
