granted, there are many many young people on it, and a lot of people apparently use it to 'hook up', but there are many people on it who are well out of their teen years and not trying to become predators. I use it to look up old friends (especially ones in other states that I have not seen in years), share things with friends, make new friends, and promote my music. My band has actually gotten quite a few folks we don't know turn up for shows that said they heard us on myspace and came to check it out, something that seldom/never happened back in the days of hanging fliers on kiosks.

We're not all predators despite what 20/20 or 60 minutes or whatever says.

myspace is plagued by spam.

I got a message the other day from what i thought was someone on my friends list and it was kind of strange, some goofy d00d singing and it said this is your cousin so and so.

I messaged them back and said ha ha very funny and they messaged me back that it was a virus. Now maybe they just said that so they could send me shit like that, but I think they were telling the truth because their profile has been hacked before

sometimes i log on to myspace and it will say that someone has been trying for 15 min to log on and it stopped letting them try.

I think they recommend you change your password too often.
