Whats Better? Blue Ray or HD-DV?

Okay, I was at Best Buy yesterday and am thinking about buying one of the systems. They have decent selection of movies for both formats and the blue Ray looked pretty clear but I couldn't compare because they didn't have a HD-DV on display.Just curious to hear whats the best of the two. thanks!

1. Best advice, wait till they have dual-format players that are around ~100 dollars...

There should be no rush, and if you don't have an HDTV, its a waste of money. I would wait a few years.
