DAMMIT! If I didn't have such bad eczema and psoriasis, I'd go out and
date or at least attempt to date because everybody only cares about appearance and not personality or wit anymore.

I blame the media, which is no better than fast food.

And I mean 'date'; not "cheap hook-up" even though that's what everybody wants me to get. One glimpse and people would treat me even more like the grotesque hunchback. x(

 :loveya: :hi:

Since none of it would be x-rated, I could wear long sleeves and pretend nothing is wrong... oh, and take lots of nerve numbing agents so I don't itch like a poodle on amphetamines...

Fortunately, I know you, you know me, and I ain't continuin' to post lyrics that sound like a song concocted by Barney the Oddly Shaped Dinosaur(tm)... :D

16. "Boys and girls in America
have such a sad time together; sophistication demands that they submit to sex immediately without proper preliminary talk. Not courting talk - real straight talk about souls, for life is holy and every moment is precious. I heard the Denver and Rio Grande locomotive howling off to the mountains."

I know. Last night I scratched my ankle for several minutes and brushed the little pile into the bin; for the parrot was eyeing the pile and thinking "Yum, breadcrumbs! :9" :wow:

9. Already have.
I'm immune to most of it.

One may be rheumatoid psoriasis and I have set up an appointment...

I really should go out and buy Flight Simulator... :)

11. The new version is said to look sumptuous... requires lots of hardware oompf...
Which I've got. My oompf is so big...

And, yes Agent Carol, I'm gonna land it too.

Well, it's more fun than those boring and sometimes uncouth first person shooters, whose day is almost over...

22. just think how many nice women there are with psoriasis!
Someone nearby you is probably sitting home wishing for the same thing. Maybe there's a support group.

I had a shirttail relative with psoriasis, and he didn't have any trouble finding a beautiful woman to marry. It didn't last, but that wasn't because of the psoriasis.

23. Have you been checked for the cause?
I don't know about psoriasis, but being allergic to gluten can cause excema, among other things. When I got bad breakouts starting on my hands and then some other strange skin reactions happening, I eventually got wind of gluten intolerance and looked it up and it was so similar to my symptoms I quit eating it (easier said than done depending on what you're used to eating!) and I have noticed a big difference so far.

24. I'm sorry. My husband has had a severe case of psoriasis for a very long time.
He went for tar treatments and light therapy at the UCSF psoriasis clinic for years. Unfortunately, the only thing that has helped in clearing the psoriasis is the chemotherapy he has been taking for his cancer treatment the past several years.

Good luck - I hope they find something soon that will help everyone who suffers from these skin ailments. It's not a fun thing at all to go through.

25. At least you don't have psoriatic arthritis
--with you it's just on the outside- with me it's both outside and inside. Consider yourself lucky your bones aren't crumbling like your skin and move on.

What you look like is far less important than who you really are deep down inside. Show THAT part to the world and you'll have no problems.

26. Have you tried Dovonex?
I had a small, but stubborn case of psoriasis years ago and nothing helped. Tried Dovonex and it cleared it right up and it's never been back.

28. aw, hon, that sucks!
I'm allergic to most commercial products, even baby shampoo (which really has a lot of crap in it) so I have to but all natural stuff. Sometimes when I have a bad breakout on my hands, it's very embarrassing  I even have scars on my hands because of it. (and someone married me, so don't give up!)
