No ciggeis 1 year!
I had my last one outside this pub(McGann's pub Doolin Ireland) 1 year ago today. I also left my 4 bottle a diet coke habit behind as well. Smokers you can quit.

My company is sponsoring a quitting program this spring supposedly but haven't heard much yet. I need to talk to a doctor first because when I quit I get so tired I can barely function even with nicotine replacement (tried gum and patches).

Tried Welbutrin too.

2. Excellent!
I'm two months behind you. Did you use any replacement products? I wound up getting hooked on Nicorette, but my doctor prescribed something called Chantix, which is supposed to block nicotine cravings from the brain. I haven't tried it yet.

Good on you! :toast:

7. No
I cut way back a long time before I stopped. Just smoked when I went out on Fridays for 6 months or so. Then I quit going out (not sure if on purpose or not). I did not have any help. I wanted the Ireland trip to be my last smoke that way if I ever thought about it I could remember where I smoked the last one. I kept the butt and oddly enough that seemed to work a couple of times. Like with anything I think you have to be ready and I was.

5. Yes
I can't believe I ever did it to start with! Nic is a nasty thing. Clothes don't smell nothing smells accept when I have to meet people out then I remember.

I quit the caffeine and that at the same time that way I didn't know if the headache was caffeine with drawl or nic headache. I had this to help me through though. I can now have drinks (coffee or beer) without even thinking about smoking and that is a major hurdle.
thanks all!

11. I do too
When I wake up I feel really good about it because I know that it was a dream.
The first thing I realize, when I wake up in a sweat is that I don't smell the smoke in my hair sheets etc that is how I know it was a dream.
congrats on quitting!

14. One thing you realize when you wake up is....
You don't have those physical cravings for nicotine anymore. You might want one, but you don't need one.

18. Congratulations, Rambis! The first year (and worst year) is behind you.
Now that you've come this far, there's no reason to go through that first year again. I told my new doctor today that I quit 11 years ago and he said that there is nothing better that you can do for yourself than to give up cigarettes.
