Ben may actually have been telling the truth. That could be the set up for the next season or two-the freighter shows up but they have to fight their way off the island.

The preview recap show had two producers on who clearly wanted to redirect attention from the BIG questions about the island and focused more on what the characters do with their second chance. THAT also could be a plot line in the coming years.

Jack says to Kate in the last scene he's tired of them lying. What kind of cover story do they have to tell? Were the freighter people evil? Even worse than the Otters? Did they have to kill them? What happened on the voyage home? NAOMI HAD A PHOTO OF DES AND PENNY -- IS HE DAD BEHIND IT?! IS HE BEHIND DHARMA???? WTF?????And, I think that is the plot... and that maybe some -- or all -- go back to change the timeline... or/and their fates.

One of my theories

FLight Oceanic 815's wreck was blamed on a former Iraq Republican Guardsman with known links to terrorists and used as a means to facilitate war as well as other political ends.

This theory USED TO include the linking of a desperate murderous fugitive from the law (Kate)and a conman who at the end of his rope who recently had turned to murder (James/Sawyer) who were accomplices. It would appear that Kate, at least, is still free so maybe (to keep the this thin theory going) that Jack-the HERO- and Kate and everyone are given sort of a witness protection type set up.

But... because of what they had to do to live and/or escape, they maybe aren't really heroes. But murderers.

I don't understand why Charlie didn't run out of the room immediately and shut the door to save himself. Desmond would have helped him unless Charlie really believed that if he lived, Claire would never be rescued. Sad because I don't think she ever saw his ring.

Is that Walt or just another island manifestation. Interesting that when Locke was in the pit, he did heal from his gunshot wound but he suddenly couldn't walk, why? Did Walt appear to remind him that the Island wants Locke to be it's guardian and once he had a purpose, he could walk again?

Could it have been James (Sawyer) in the coffin?

If Charlie didn't close the door, the pressure in the moon pool chamber would've been severely altered, and you'd have massive flooding in 2 directions. That'd be the end for Desmond.

So there are other crashes. The plane Jack is shown flying on said Oceanic Airlines so this is BEFORE they declared bankruptcy.
