carried a torch for JFK Jr. She was a roomie with JFK and the couples were close as I understand it. It just hit me yesterday as I watched Jamie Rubin at the Press Club event for Gen Clark how much Jamie and JFK Jr, look alike. Coincidence? Maybe.

BTW, no slam intended on CA, JR, or JFK Jr. - just an observation.

1. Well, can ya blame her??? :)
side note - I'm going to be seeing Jamie Rubin when he's in Madison next week, speaking at the UW. I'm really looking forward to it - and no, NOT just because he might bear some resemblance to JFK Jr. (but it can't hurt, can it :) )

2. sorry, but JFK jr., was
a stupid twit. He may have been JFK's son but he was in my book another spoilt rich kid whose arrogance/stupidity brought on the deaths of two daughters from a family, not to mention his own. By all accounts he wasn't too bright as a student, unlike his sister, and like the chimp dabbled in business/journalism that only rich kids with family backings can indulge in.

Just not in the mood these days to join in the fawning over the rich and famous hyped by the likes of national enquirer and people magazine as young people from working class families are being sent off to die horrible deaths in Iraq.

4. And you just scratched the surface. I knew him as an editor, and
had met him as a law student... stupid twit is putting kindly.

He had a personality of wet cardboard.

3. Goodness gracious, so did I
And I have tremendous admiration for Amanpour. Looks like she got a winner in Jamie Rubin, too. Good for her.
