2. Watch the first season on DVD and you'll understand.
Watch the last episode alone, and you never will.

In any case, we're mostly Pissed OFF by that ending, so maybe you should skip watching the first season, knowing where the story ends...or doesn't.

4. I watched it with him and
i watched the first 3- 4 seasons...His dissapointment has nothing to do with not watching the rest of it...The ending was shite, imho.

7. Aw, I fucking loved it.
David Chase is like that really amazingly great guy, the best lay you ever had, who you KNOW is going to fuck you over in the end, and he's so great that you don't really even mind.

Great, typical David Chase ending. And yeah, I think there's going to be a movie. :*

8. I'm not addressing disappointment. I think most viewers (*myself included*)
are disappointed. I was addressing trying to understand all the hype about a long-running TV show by watching its last episode.

5. I think a lot of people were expecting a Godfather type ending
But Chase is too much of an iconoclast to finish with a cliché. Given how thoroughly the genre (and his franchise) has been milked, it's a brave move. And I'll probably cuss like hell when I see it.

3. I've seen exactly 10 minutes of one episode, and every other
word was "fuck". It was a scene between Tony and his shrink.
