3. I really want to know how you removed it

I clean for a living and any new info is appreciated. I understand you might have had the carpet pieced but how did you get it off the door? What about the floor under the carpet, did it go all the way through?

A man who specializes in "carpet magic" came over today, took some of my remnants and his own carpet padding and very carefully pieced it. Just like new!

The "new" doors were a product of my husband's brilliance: he simply flipped them around so the unstained side faces outward.

PS: The appraiser comes tomorrow morning.
