1. why did you register as a repub?
i mean i will forgive you

just curious

okay, i admit i voted in a reputhug primary once, for Jim Bob Duggar, the guy with 17 kids or whatever, he was running for the senate against Tim Hutchinson. I thought Jim Bob would be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to beat than an incumbent rethug, but of course Jim Bob didn't even make a dent but Hutchinson lost so that was the only time.

Otherwise I'm pure as the driven snow... :D at least when it comes to voting for dems.

:hi:

14. In many ways, Dubya makes Reagan seem enlightened
which is something the 18-year-old, anti-Contra, anti-nuke, anti-Apartheid demonstrating me imagined I'd never, ever say back in 1987.

These are strange times.

9. hmmmph
having voted for the past 28 years, I can attest to the fact that some things were different. The overriding fact is that the repubs were still the party of cheap labor.

and the dems were the party of the people

not much difference. just beginnings of neocons

2. I pardon you.
And that from someone whose Socialist Workers Party and Democratic Party memberships both are dated the year I turned 18...1970.

Growing up in a conservative family I learned that MLK Jr. was an awful commie, that JFK & RFK's assassinations were a good thing for this country. Nixon resigning meant nothing. He was the only one caught, as the mantra of the time was repeated over and over.
I ended up voting for Ronnie, but Iran-Contra really made me start to question what was going on in the party of bankers and CEOs.

No shame in questioning the republics. We need more like you. :)
