So anyway, here is the shot of the beach.





I photoshopped several photos together to make this. The shading didn't blend well at the center.

I'll keep trying.

3. Where is everyone?

Can you swim or fish there?

7. it was 3 pm on a weekday, so everyone was at work.

Come July when the water gets warm it gets a bit more crowded, but the beaches closer in to town and on the peninsula where surf is bigger get more crowds than here.


It's safe to swim until about mid-august, when jellyfish get to be a nuisance.

A lot of people eat fish from around here - I suppose the pollution is not too bad - there is not a lot of heavy industry around here, main pollutant is probably road and farm runoff.

Litter on the beach is a problem - a lot of it washes in from elsewhere, though.

Probably the beach is sheltered by those islands?

10. That, and the fact that we are on the Sea of Japan side.

The Pacific side gets bigger swells. Kind of how the waves on the Gulf of Mexico tend to be smaller.


It means less worry when you've got your kids at the beach, though...
