ok, I have to brag for just a moment, my wife made the best roast ever tonight
She had a 102 fever, was sick as hell, but still pulled together one helluva great meal.

Nice beef roast, about 15 cloves of garlic, montreal steak seasoning, liquid smoke, all wrapped up in foil and slow roasted for hours - complimented with ranch beans and zucchini in the oven smothered in good spices.

It smelled so good while cooking we ate stuff in between just to keep ourselves from going insane.

I didn't ask her to cook, I made her lunch and was planning on making dinner myself, but she wanted to doctor it all up and make dinner herself.

I have ate a lot of roast in my 41 years, but this was the best I have ever had. There is but one small piece left, and if she does not snatch it up after her nap, I will plunder it soon :)

She can cook anything from Chinese to American and make it better than I could ever hope for.

I don't know what I did to please the food gods, but they sure as hell have smiled upon me by letting me be her partner. 9 years of meals I never even dreamed of (and her crab potstickers from 8 years ago are still talked about amongst my family back east, not to mention her clam chowder).

You did good hun. Now get some rest, the dishes are mine.

4. RECIPES!!
You need to get her to WRITE IT DOWN. Great family heriloom. As additions, get your own thoughts to add about the experience and family member's memories. Wouldn't that make a great book for your family?

5. Why would you let someone who was ill cook you dinner?
That's a high and dangerous temperature in an adult. You should have insisted on cooking.

6. Ever try to get a wife to do what you say? :)
I'd rather spend a few hours in a cage with a rabid badger, darth vader, three psycho ewoks, and my mother in law on steroids

7. PS - she took tylenol and got her fever down, but she is also used to feeling sick and doing things
comes with the disease.

I learned long ago to let her do what makes her happy :)
