2. Got caught with cocaine in her vehicle. I think she was also drunk.
I think she needs to pay the legal price, but I also think she needs some serious treatment for her drug and alcohol problems.

4. She was pulled over by the cops for chasing an employee's mother with her car.
Regardless of it was reckless or not, she had some coke on her person. Which she claimed wasn't hers. And she had an elevated alcohol level.

Or was the other person in another car?

26. they were fighting somehow and the other woman had to call 911
it is not clear to me if the other woman was fleeing the psychotic lohan on foot or in her own car, does it much matter?

lohan was arrested twice, driving dangerously while under influence of alcohol and cocaine, and in possession of more cocaine, she crashed her car the first time, this time she is chasing another woman...jesus, they put paris in jail over 0.08 DUI and a suspended driver's license, in other words, she did not a fuck bit of harm to anybody

fair is fair and the law should be the same for everyone, if a grade "b" celeb has to go to jail for a lesser offense, lohan needs to go to jail, christ, she's a danger to herself and others and belongs in a mental institution when she isn't in jail if you ask me

as i said in another thread on this topic -- i know functional alcoholics who go their whole lives without getting arrested for DUI, it's called taxi-cabs or having the party at your place, hard to feel any pity for this psychotic lady, at least w. paris you get the idea she was just not very intelligent and made a huge mistake but lohan appears to be downright dangerous

get her off the damn streets

32. "does it much matter?" - You damned right it matters!
If she was chasing down the intended victim with a car, then the likelihood of other people getting injured or killed goes way up.

I agree with you. Get her off the streets. Take away her license forever.

27. that was a different time my friend
it was not uncommon back in the day for DUI to be treated lightly, we've had a few decades of changes in the law since then

we have to compare like to like and these days anyone else who did as lohan did would be in jail

9. I just looked her up on Wiki
I hadn't seen her before today, I don't think, but I heard her name a lot recently.

She's an actress and pop music singer? Never heard her albums or saw her movies.

Why is she so special?

11. But why is the media pushing her?
Is she the object of some sort of fashion trend? A product, like a can of CocaCola?

Mind you, I am listening to Renaissance/Early Baroque brass motets by Monteverde Gabrieli right now. ;)

I may be a bit behind the times. :D

14. This seems to be her M.O. when she has a movie released.
And it's getting old. Personally, I could care less and would never go out of my way to see one of her movies, I just thought it's be interesting to take DU's pulse on this issue.

29. she's an over the hill child star at the end of her career as she's too old to be a child
like many child stars she is without talent, her talent seemed to rest mainly on being able to make her eyes look real big and innocent

most child stars are not going to grow up and be drew barrymore, but the answer is to have advisors to help your make wise investments of the millions you earned as a child and teen -- not to stay high all the time throwing public temper tantrums because you are no longer anything special

16. Anyone who racks up two DUIs deserves some jail time.
Her license ought to be suspended for a year or two as well, for being dumb enough not to take a cab or a limo.

Not that I have anything against, her, she is just a kid, but the drunk driving thing is unforgivable.

Especially in her economic situation. She could easily take a cab or a limo.

24. She should face whatever penalty anyone else with her record would face.
And though I like the kid and think she's got some genuine talent, I wish she'd get the same amount of media coverage as anyone else in that situation. On the other hand, my fourteen year old daughter is so disgusted with her that it just might help convince her not to do drugs or drive drunk. So maybe the publicity isn't that bad.

30. TREATMENT
This child is out of control. Rich or poor, famous or one of the crowd. Haven't we learned by now that jail without treatment does not produce better behavior?
Perhaps a choice jail or hospital, with the club of a stay at the slamarama if she does not participate in the treatment.

31. She can ingest as many drugs as she wants,
but the minute she gets into her car and drives under the influence, she's a danger to others. I'm not saying she doesn't need medical help, but she also needs to be removed from the mainstream as well.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver (it was NOT their first DUI by any means). Taking away their license doesn't keep them from getting into their weapon and killing someone.

33. I've seen her in two flicks.
Mean Girls was just another teen flick. She certainly didn't have any screen charisma or acting ability. Rachel McAdams is another story.

And recently in Bobby. Still bad. At least she had a bit part and couldn't ruin the rest of the film - which was very good.

If only Lindsey, Britney and Paris would find a bridge abutment together. At a very high speed.

37. I thought she was very good in Mean Girls
As was McAdams. She was also very, very good in the remake of "Freaky Friday." As much as it pangs me to say it, it was loads better than the original, and she was better in it than Jodie Foster was in the original.

A good actress but a messed up kid with no parental support. It doesn't bode well.
