What part of the country are you in?

I'm in the Santa Cruz mtns, where it is beautiful today. Our typical summer weather pattern is cool fog in the mornings, which burns off before noon and becomes sunny and mid 70's, low 80's by the afternoon. No humidity, thank god!

About 5,000 feet above sea level. It should be cooling down somewhat, and it has, but this summer has been especially pernicious this year.

29. "pernicious" is a great word, isn't it?

I always think of "evil and pernicious" in the same phrase, b/c it's apparently a phrase used in Chinese medicine referring to a cool wind on the throat, which, I guess, is "bad". :D I have a friend who's really into that sort of thing and she is adament about wearing a scarf whenever we take windy beach walks.

I don't know why I felt compelled to share that, but I did. There you have it.

We're about 700 ft above sea level. Hey, at least you don't have to deal with earthquakes. :D

24. Actually, I had a therapeutic-massage guy who is also a sports trainer

coming in twice a week for a while, and it did help. Not the core pain from the nerve damage, but it did help the "accessory" pain, muscle knots, etc. I should have him start coming around again...
