The most STUNNING vocal performance I have ever heard

This is the MOST STUNNING vocal performance I have ever heard. Yes there are a few notes that are slightly out of tune but this GIRL is TWELVE YEARS OLD.

JULIE ANDREWS (Yes, Mary Poppins and the original Eliza Doolittle on Broadway in "my Fair Lady") singing the Polonaise from the opera "Mignon" by Ambroise Thomas:

Recorded October 22, 1947. She was 12 years and 22 days old:

I thought there was no such thing as a 12 year old coloratura, but Julie Andrews WAS one.

She makes Charlotte Church sound like a very very rank amateur.

1. Pretty amazing! But then, Julie Andrews is a goddess.
And you're right, she makes Charlotte Church and the rest of the pissy little wannabe-diva wankers look like the crap that they are.

7. Youtube has clips of her stage performance as Eliza Doolittle.
Those are worth checking out. Too bad she wasn't in the film.

12. I loved KD Lang singing "Crying" at the grammies just after Roy Orbison
passed away. She rocked the house.
