Computer Geeks - help needed with equipment

I'm looking to connect my computer to my TV set so that I can see the computer screen on the TV.

Outside of the obvious (computer, TV) what kind of card do I need to make this adaptation?

1. Some kind of Video card that

has an "S video out".

Then it will plug right in to the TV.

Most modern Graphics cards have this too.

2. Does your computer have an S-Video output on the back?

It'll be next to the monitor output, and it's a round connector about half an inch in diameter. Looks like a small DIN plug.

If you have onboard graphics then you won't have one. You can tell because the monitor connector is with all the rest of the connectors: the mouse, keyboard, USB sockets. If this is so then you need to buy a graphics card with an S-Video out.

Either way.

It was around $100.

Thought about getting myself one.
