"Move your fat tukus, lady, or I'll flatten it for you!" ;:oO
We had an errand to run this morning at the local (very small) shopping mall.

As we were pulling into a shady parking space, this woman walked right in front of us.

I thought that she was just carelessly walking to her car.

But then she stopped in the middle of the parking space we were pulling into.

And she just stood there, smirking at us.

So, my husband, who was driving, backed up a bit and pulled around her into the shady parking spot beside her.

As I watched, a car that had been on the other side of the doubled, slanted parking spaces pulled up, she got out of the way and allowed the car to park.

One could only draw the conclusion that the woman had been in the car on the other side of the parking spots, saw us heading for the shady spot, got out of the car and blocked the spot so the driver of that car could get it.

Sheer chuzpah!

It wasn't like it was the only shady spot. The one beside it was just as shady.

I was flabbergated.

I told my husband that she was lucky HE was driving 'cause I would have just kept moving until she had to get out of the way.

Either that, or I would have called out the window, "Move your fat @$$, (deleted), or I'll flatten it for you!"

It's a small thing and not worth getting angry over and I'm not angry, but I sure am bemused by the incredible gall and apparent sense of entitlement that some people show.

I mean, she just smirked at us like, "Ha ha!"
 :eyes:

3. Parking lots are fascinating places to watch human behavior
I've had people come up to me after I've parked and yell at me for taking "their" parking place. :wtf: And I'm not the type of person who darts ahead of someone and pulls into a space they're obviously waiting for - no, these people are pissed because I got it before they did.

I wouldn't have the gall to stand in an empty space like that. I'd feel like an idiot.

6. Dave Barry once said "Parking lots are just like roads
except there are no rules."

Wise man, that Dave.

doing that. Wow!

11. We were going to the beach once, and there was a couple
"holding" a parking spot on PCH that way. My husband pulled in anyway. One has to have quite the set of cojones to do that.
