Well, whaddaya know - Fort Worth FINALLY called for a job interview

I sent them an application back in May. The Denton office called me right away for an interview, but I was unable to go because I was in California and didn't know when I'd be returning to TX. I never heard boo from Fort Worth until today. Interview is Tuesday afternoon.

It's so ironic - we're in the preliminary planning (really thinking) stages of moving to California, and I finally get this call. Isn't that the way life goes?

Seriously, Ft. Worth is about the last good thing in TX. If I were a bit younger, maybe I'd dig Austin, too.

Thinking about it... it turns out I worked for the City of Ft. Worth about twenty years ago in the East Branch Library. If you ever pass it, you'll see a little tin shed on the east lawn... my pal and I built that (used to store garbage bags when the city was selling them). My own little contribution to the city!
