1. It's official. There is no reason NOT to move to Canada.
Thanks to Girlincontempt, I also know that Canada has the Trailer Park Boys show, so I think citizenship benefits definitely tip to the advantage of the Canadian.

3. C'mon Canada, you know you really want Maine.
Look at us! We just jut all up into Canada like a sore spot. You always have to take the long way around to get from the Atlantic provinces to the rest of Canada.
And Portland would make a way better Atlantic port than stinky old Halifax!
Annex us!!

10. OK, we'll take Maine
You can keep the rest.

On second thought, we'll take the Oregon Coast too.

9. Good thing I moved outta there
and don't need to worry about the exchange rate in my personal life anymore. And another thing... everybody probably won't believe me, but the financial authorities in Canada are *not* happy about this exchange rate. I don't know why they've let it go on so long.

13. Thaaaat's not what I'm talking about
Canada has historically depended on having a low Loonie vs. the Greenback in order to keep US imports out of Canada and lure foreign investment into Canada instead of the US. Right now, it's easy for Canadian consumers to import from the US (which is kind of the reason the government is supporting this weak-dollar policy) while it's relatively hard for US consumers to import from Canada. That's not good for the Canadian economy. Furthermore, if, say a European investor is looking to invest in either the US or Canada, the low Canadian Loonie has historically been an incentive for them to invest in Canada, since their money will go farther there. Now that's not the case either. So, while the strong Loonie is a sign of a strong Canadian economy, its impact on the Canadian economy is actually detrimental.

14. Not just the loon
We also have a leaf, a beaver, a ship, a caribou, and a polar bear. And the queen, lots of her, but also the odd one with her dad still on it.

15. Ruins a favorite song of mine...
"5 American 6 Canadian" by Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, proably the best rock song ever based on the exchange rate.
