I just turned 40.
Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier sixty years ago today.

Actor Roger Moore turns 80 today.

On this day in 1066, William of Normandy defeated the English army at Hastings and essentially enslaved that nation.

My sister said I am only as old as I feel. Unfortunately, I feel 40.

4. My condolences. When I turned 40, I vowed to never take
shit from anyone ever again. If you are interested, I will tell you how that worked out for me.

8. Don't think of it as turning 40, think of it as the second anniversary of your 39th. :)
Happy birthday.

9. 40 is the new 30.
Lol.

Happy Birthday!

I got ten on you, so suck it up and be happy to have lived to see it! Like my dad (76) says: getting older beats the alternative.

Go buy yourself a treat..and then live long and happy.

I hope your birthday is happy!

I remember turning 40--and now I'm almost 64...

There's plenty of life after 40!

It's hard though...those decades do add up...

Enjoy yourself...treat yourself well...have fun, play, sing and dance!

You have many years ahead of you yet...:toast:

11. I turn 40 in December
I am really looking forward to it! I didn't think I was going to make it to 30, let alone 40.

13. Happy birthday!
Mine is next year. I am not looking forward to it much. Although when I consider the alternative, it really isn't so bad!

16. Hey, you're doing better than old William the Conqueror
(Just don't call him William the Bastard... he's lost all his sense of humor in his old age :( )

17. The day I turned 40 I felt a little melancholy.
The truth is I'm really enjoying life. 40 is a great age.

19. 40? Try 50.
Now I'm pushing 55, but 50 really sucked. Made 30 and 40 look like a cakewalk. And I expect 60 to be MOTHERFUCKING HELLDAMNER.

My advice? Stop celebrating the birthday, and insist others do not as well. That's what I do.

21. You'll see 40 again in 20 years.
After you hit 50, you can start counting backwards.
