Just how long will this pre-game schlock go on?

They are already repeating themselves in the Fox studio!

Can't wait for the game to start!

GO INDIANS!

Looks like Wakefield might be hittable tonight. Although two strikeouts in the first inning scares me!

23. I think that if Cleveland gets into the World Series, it will be a really
good one between them and the Rockies. They are both playing very well right now.

24. That jackassery of Red Sox Nation is responsible for this
We have totally burned up all the goodwill we generated through the 86 year drought. Instead of being self-deprecating and humble, we're becoming the reflection of the Evil Empire we all loathe. The bad attitude towards the rest of the baseball world this season, displayed by some on this very website, has ruined the team's karma. Now we're seeing the results. Hopefully this will knock us back into reality next year, barring a stunning comeback which will only inflate our heads more.

That said, if it weren't for the Rockies I'd be despondent right now.

37. I agree that the fans have become what the once loathed in their Evil Empire opponents...
But I choose to think that the fans have not wasted the team's karma. Rather, all of Boston's karma was used up in 2004 when they came back from the 3-0 deficit to beat the Yankees. They were fortunate in the sense that their karma carried them all the way to the World Series title. They have only 3 years worth of karma built up now, so they may need to endure a few difficulties to build up some more.

That's why I wanted to see a Rox-Sox series - the Rockies have great karma going right now. The Indians, however, have 59 years worth of karma built up waiting to be unleashed. It will be interesting to see how the universe balances itself out in the next week or so.

Hmm. I'm rambling a little bit. Maybe I should have napped for a little more than the 2 hours I already did...

Just imagine if it were the Cubs going to the Series and not the Rockies... With that karma cash-in, then entire universe could become unbalanced and tip into chaos and eventual nothingness. In essence, if the Cubs win the World Series again, the entire universe will be destroyed.

41. Even with all this, I think the Sox are still the best team in baseball
and if I were being totally non-biased, which in this situation is impossible, I think it would be better for the Rox if they were to face the Indians rather than Boston. I think the Rockies could more easily beat Cleveland. For some reason the Sox are just playing awful in this series, totally underperforming. The Indians are doing great the last three games, and deserve to win.

That said, I don't think the Indians will get anywhere as long as they have that idiotic, bigoted logo. I'm not one for being over-sensitive, but if you look at the way the Florida Seminoles handle having a Native American mascot association vs. the Cleveland Indians, the difference is striking to say the least, and it doesn't reflect well on "the tribe".

42. Even as a kid I hated that logo and I refuse to use it as my avatar
Several years ago - mid 90's maybe -- I think the team let the fans decide whether to keep it or not. They kept it, obviously.

Maybe -- just maybe -- Boston has the most overall talent in baseball. But Wedge has Cleveland better prepared.

43. I don't understand how they can use it in good consience
I mean, voting or no, I would think there's some semblance of empathy in the front office of that corporation. Of all the people to degrade, they've got to piss all over the most disadvantaged group in American society. I don't get it at all.

38. Top of the ninth
Cleveland leads 3 - 7.

The 3 scheduled batters for Boston are collectively 1 for 9 in this game, not the strongest part of their line up.
