American Viewpoint-ever heard of them?
I probably could have posted this in GD (hooray for me-a real GD topic!!) but I knew I'd get a response out of the Lounge. Anyway, this company called my house during a Tstorm warning last night and asked me a ton of questions about the upcoming gubernatorial election (2008) in my state (Missouri).

I was just wondering what if anything anyone here knows about them? The questions they asked me last night were all worded in a way to attempt to convince me that Matt Blunt should be reelected and that Jay Nixon (the Dem candidate) was the devil.

Any info about this company?

2. That's what I suspected.
They would only mouth Dem candidates, going so far as stating that Hillary was "a bad role model for mothers everywhere." (This was actually said during the phone call.)

Oh, and the woman on the line also made comments about affirmative action and how "my man" would never be able to get a job. (One, I don't have a man right now and two, when I asked how she knew I was white she stated that "she could tell"). She also said that Nixon, if he wins, plans on taking away all of "our guns and allowing the gays to marry and teach our kids at school".

Overall it was a fun call to play with last night.

3. Oh my gosh.
I would have hung up or used some choice phrases. I don't have the patience for that. Yeah, Hillary's a baaaad mom. Now where did Chelsea graduate from? Oh yeah-Stanford!

4. I played with the caller.
It gave me something to do. My friends know that I sometimes enjoy being an ass on the phone.

5. Sounds like a really clumsy push poll, and...
why not waste their time and phone bill poking them with pointy sticks?
