Stone me, 75 degrees today, not a cloud in the sky, and the trees are a riot of
colors, and do I have a convertible to drive around, and take it all in?

You bet I do. Am I the most fortunate son of a bitch around, or what?

Not to mention my third day of feeling good in a row.

Do not hesitate for a momemnt, people, to appreciate the gifts life hands you. Even if they're few and far between, (or perhaps especially if they are so), keep an eye out for the good stuff and be happy when you get some of it.

1. It was 80 and sunny in Chicago today....
I don't have a convertible, but rolled down all the car windows and opened the sunroof.

:D

It was absolutely gorgeous.

2. I'm trying hard to do that, but
I've been depressed for about 4-5 days, I guess. I'm just...sad. Eh. Hubby is out getting me BK in hopes that I will finally eat something.

Bleh.

:hi:

4. BK? That's weak. Have him take you to Bukowski's and feed you a plate of their
bucattini-and-four-cheeses-and sausage, which I had for dinner during the legendary 2005 DU Boston Meetup, and still remember to this day.

Whoop a couple good grinds of black pepper on that mamajama, and you WILL eat.

12. I don't wanna go out tonight...
He knows that BK makes me happy. :)

PS- Meetup next Saturday, Anti-war rally and meetup at Bukowski's. See MA forum for details. We'll be there. :)

7. Eat something.
You won't feel any worse and you'll probably feel better if BK is one of your comfort food groups.
:hi:

Although I have to say that Redstone's Bukowski suggestion is one to file away.

11. It is a comfort food...
And, I don't wanna go out tonight, have to be up at 6. I ate most of my Dbl Cheeseburger and half of my large fries. More than I've eaten in days. I am full and feeling better. He's a good hubby, he loves me so :)

14. Haven't had it yet, because I'm still negotiating the price...we changed health insurance
in July, so they won't cover it (pre-existing condition).

I may end up having to take a trip to Canada. Looks like it would be less expensive there, even with the current exchange rate.

Thank you for asking.

But maybe you can have some fun in Canada if you end up having to head north.

19. Oh, yeah, it would be fine; Mrs R could see her cousin twice in a year instead of the usual once.
And I do enjoy her cousin and her cousin's husband, and since it's Quebec, there's POUTINE!

8. Mid 70s here as well
Shorts and a t-shirt at Dorney Park where I was doing some photography - needed to get some good shots at sunset when the rides glow without the need for neon or incandescent lights.

1970s, and remember that place.)

9. Sounds like you enjoyed the day in style!
It was a beautiful day wasn't it? We had 80 degrees here and we babysat the 3 grandkids. We spent a lot of time outside..especially as the day began to cool off. It was nice to see the clear blue sky and enjoy the colors outside.

Glad you had a good day Redstone and glad you've had 3 days of feeling good. I wish you many more feeling good days.

29. Yup, you are one fortunate SOB! Enjoy it, you leaf peeper!!
My sister and I were out leaf peeping this past weekend. It was one of those SW Michigan days that make the other 364 in despair worth living.

We sat on the balcony of the winery Contessa situated on top of the hills, overlooking vinyards and leaves of glory, sipping wine and enjoying the breeze, telling the Chicago tourists the best places to eat that evening.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
