So I just got home from my MRI.
I've had a few but for some reason this one freaked me out. I came within a hair of using the panic button. I had never understood why some people needed sedation for an MRI- now I do.

I felt like I was being microwaved and that my muscles were vibrating in tune with the machine.

I relaxed, breathed deeply and went to a happy place and muddled through but it was a very near thing.

Thank you for your kind attention.:hi:

6. We hope so.
I have had epilepsy for 43 years and my neurologist decided to monkey with my medication. That caused a seizure and we're getting me "normal" again.

I thought normal was a setting on the dishwasher.

5. I had one two weeks ago
I have terrible claustrophobia and this was a closed machine. They had to give me 10 mg of valium before they strapped my head down. I kept my eyes squeezed shut. I am good for another six months.:)

8. I've had one MRI
It was an MRI of my head, so I had to have that awful head-stabilizer contraption that completely immobilized my head and neck. I got through it by closing my eyes and counting the seconds of each minute by imaging a big digital clock in my head. It was enough of a distraction to get my mind off of it, and the time went by a lot faster.

9. Hope everything is way cool.
As for myself, I prefer to meet Death crushed in a cage after a race, just off Dead Man's Curve! :hi:

11. I took my mother to have an MRI once
It was becoming pretty apparent that Alzheimer's was taking root on her so they doctor ordered an MRI. I was sitting in the waiting room when the tech brought her back. She glared at me and said, "Don't you ever do that to me again." I looked up at the tech but he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sorry about that," and left. I never did figure out what caused the consternation.

12. That happened to me during my last MRI.
It was on my lumbar spine and it actually *hurt.* Now, I've been scanned and x-rayed more times than I can count and that was a first - weird.

Anyway, glad it's over. Hope you don't have to wait too long for your results. :hi:
