Who makes the best fast food?
I am not putting up a poll because I know I'm going to miss something that is specific to the region you probably live in.

Back when I lived in California I could not get enough of Carl's Jr. Maybe it was the deep fried zucchini that hooked me. Now it's a toss up for me between KFC and Burger King.

I don't care a whit about healthy eating here. I'm talking strictly taste. Which place has the most delicious food, in your opinion?

Mexican food. Huge burritos with actual meat in them! Great fried tacos with all kinds of meats and stuff. Really fill up on five bucks.

33. It started with Roberto's which is the largest chain in San Diego, then
all these other ones started calling themselves Royberto's, Alberto's, Adalberto's and on and on... it seems like there are hundreds of variations on the name.

Their specialty is a pastrami sandwich the size of a football. And I'm not exaggerating either.

11. Second. That's the only "burger" fast food I eat.
I always get the veggie burger with Tillamook cheese and all the trimmings. Love their seasonal, local food. Walla Walla onion rings in spring, strawberry shortcake in spring, Blackberry milkshakes in summer, hazelnuts in salads, etc...

If you are talking chains - depends on what you (I?)are in the mood for, generally Jack in the Box has more variety. Taco Bell is ok sometimes, KFC is hard to beat for that original recipe chicken. (and the local KFC's are combined with Taco Bells now so you can order both at the same place! woopee)

42. I cannot support American Corporate Christian Wahabis
...Several of the religious organizations that Truett Cathy and Chick-fil-A have lent support to include groups such as Focus on the Family. Groups researching financial support of religious groups have noted that Truett Cathy is one of the largest corporate sponsors of politically active religious groups in the US, largely through grants from the Truett Cathy Foundation but occasionally through direct sponsorship as well or through partnership with other foundations that are major corporate sponsors of politically active religious groups
Their CEO has done incredible damage to this country over the years. I will not give one penny to their business.

...Chick-fil-A has promoted religious groups via toys and CDs included in children's meals, much as movie studios promote new movies via McDonald's Happy Meal toys. These have ranged from including toys from the Christian television series VeggieTales in children's meals to including Financial Peace for Kids children's books by Christian financial guru Dave Ramsey and CDs from the Christian radio program Adventures in Odyssey, as children's meal incentives. The latter show is produced by the radio division of Focus on the Family, and typically heard on Christian radio stations.
Chick-fil-A and Focus on the Family also have a history of cross-promotion. Chick-fil-A has also sponsored meetings by the group All Pro Dad; All Pro Dad is a group with affiliations with Focus on the Family via a group called Family First; Family First promotes a large number of conservative religious causes, including covenant marriage.

Chick-fil-A has also directly sponsored other religious campaigns. One of the groups sponsored by Chick-fil-A is Athletes In Action which is a sports missionary arm of the Campus Crusade for Christ.
Another link between Chick-fil-A and religious groups includes promotion of National Bible Week. Truett Cathy is the chair of the National Bible Week Committee.
Truett Cathy is also heavily involved in the WinShape Foundation, a non-profit organization which was started in 1984 with its goal to "shape winners" by offering summer camps, retreats, foster care, and other services.
Amidst the company's push to the southwest, gambling mecca Las Vegas remains the southernmost large city without a Chick-fil-A location... http://www.missbehavemag.com/index.php?itemid=494

...and if I'm in a jam Wendy's.

I know. Wendy's supports Republicans, but sometimes the biological imperative intercedes.

I don't eat any Taco Bell or Jack in the Box products unless I'm in the mood for explosive diarrhea the next day.

21. Hmmmm....
Wendy's and Culver's both have good burgers and fries. KFC, I love the popcorn chicken and potato wedges. Dutchess, in Connecticut, I try to hit when I go visit the family for a veal parm sandwich and onion rings. Taco John's for 59-cent tacos on Tuesdays and grilled chicken burritos with potato olés the other six days of the week. Arby's for a chicken sandwich and curly fries, and the occasional beef-and-cheddar.

25. I have some favorites. They might not be the best by other's
standards, but I love 'em. Krystal makes nice little belly-bomber burgers like White Castle. I also enjoy Backyard Burgers when I'm in a location that they operate. I have nothing here in NW Arkansas but the usual fare: KFC, McD's and Burger King. We DO have a Hardee's. They make a pretty good burger too. I DO appreciate KFC's buffet on occasion.

But Mickey D's has always satisfied my cravings. A Big Mac is a huge guilty pleasure of mine, and I love the fries.

I liked Hardees growing up, but there aren't any around here.

Checker's has great seasoned fries, as does Arby's.

46. Lately I'm hooked on Hardees or Steak n Shake.
Cos I just love a good mushroom swiss cheeseburger and that's my favourite kind. When I was younger though back in UK, there was this burger joint that made the absolute best burgers - my favourite was a Pineburger (hamburger with pineapple on top) - and we got our burgers from there and our soft drinks at Wimpy (that location became Burger King when BK bought Wimpy and the Wimpy brand got relaunched as something more resembling Steak n Shake) - got some strange looks when eating bought in food... couldn't complain as we were buying their drinks.

Hardees have been advertising this Hawaiian chichen sandwich (it's got pineapple on it).. Haven't tasted it yet - anyone tried that one out?

Mark.
