1. Opera 9.24 because...
just because.

Besides, Firefox Freaks all act like they've discovered the concept of an alternative browser. Some of us grew up with Mosaic immediately went to Opera and Netscrap when they came out. Firefox does a lot of good things, mostly stolen from Opera, but it's still slightly less secure and has a few more bugs.

IE7, however, as much as I hate to say it, seems to be an improvement over earlier versions and is quite workable if set up right. It is a basic component of Windows, so you can't eliminate it completely, and sometimes you need it for sites set up for IE only.

(I have a tendency to email companies that have IE only sites that I would have bought stuff from them if I could read the damn site.)

2. SeaMonkey

Why? My lovely SO, who is a computer GENIUS, suggested it. It's very much like FireFox since it's powered by Mozilla.

Edit - except when I pay bills online. My bank's site doesn't like SeaMonkey, so I use IE.

3. Well I can't think in Russian to access the Firefox's
weapon system so I guess that option is out for me.

Sorry is that too geeky a reference?

6. Firefox only
I like the look, the tab feature (yea I know IE7 has it as well), and the fact that it is not as open as IE in regards to scripts.

7. Been a Firefox only user for years.
Or technically "Firebird", as it was called in early beta stages. I use Firefox whether on a Windows or Linux box. If I had a Mac, I'd use it on that as well.

Just a better browser. Faster. More secure. And you can add on extensions to do just about anything within the browser that you would have to do separately (and thus use more system resources) with M$IE.

8. Camino
Edited on Sun Nov-25-07 04:33 PM by Kutjara
Much faster and a smidgen more secure than Firefox and Safari. I keep Firefox on standby for those few sites that don't like Camino. I never use IE, even on the Windows boxes I occasionally have to work with. It's just too insecure.

I've used Safari a bit on Windows and it looks good, so that's another alternative.

10. Easy- Firefox but keep IE
Firefox is a phenomenal browser which is by far the easiest to customize and adapt to your everyday browsing. For example, FF has toolbar which can search a number of sites with the click of a mouse. IMDB, Google/Yahoo, Creative Commons, Wiki, and they Dictionary can be searched with the click (And it opens in a new tab!).

That being said, many pages were designed for IE, and sometimes they just look better on it.

I like it's "look and feel" better. And it's the most devastating killing machine ever built.
