stuffed jalapenos - your suggestions?
i'm going to make an appetizer shortly, of stuffed jalapenos.

i'm thinking of deseeding them and stuffing them with any/all of the following:

sour cream
cream cheese
diced canadian bacon (we have quite a bit left over from the baked potato soup of Kitchenwitch)
lentils

i was initially thinking sour cream and bacon.. and maybe lentils?

what say you DU?

i'll be throwing them in the electric skillet.

1. I was served a wonderful jalapeno appetizer recently:
You cut them in half, carve out the seeds and pulp, stuff them with sour cream, wrap bacon around them, then bake at high heat (about 450) until the bacon is cooked. Yummy!

Mix the:

sour cream
and
cream cheese together-

then add the
diced canadian bacon.

6. I would think that the
sour cream would just run out all over the place. I go with cream cheese maybe flavored with some of your favorite appropriate herbs. If you can, get a jar of sweet jalepeno jelly and heat it slightly to use it to drizzle on them or dip into when you eat them. Enjoy! :hi:

9. Yep.
And I'm now wondering it it wouldn't be best to cube and freeze the cream cheese before stuffing so it won't melt out too fast. I've never made them myself but love them with cream cheese and am just thinking about the dynamics of making them.
