This sounds like someone just mashed together every tabloid story ever made, but the Sun UK is reporting that Britney Spears is threatening to release a lesbian sex tape starring Paris Hilton. Allegedly, Hilton was rude to Britney at Britney's 26th birthday party last Saturday, so Spears wrote Hilton a letter demanding she act nice or suffer the consequences.

Brit has demanded that the heiress stop being rude to her and members of her entourage.
The troubled star has reportedly threatened to leak the footage, which shows Hilton in a compromising position with another woman, unless her attitude changes.
A source said: "The letter warns Paris that if she continues being rude to people, the footage will be leaked online."

It seems unlikely that Britney Spears would take the time to write a chocolate smeared letter, but whatever, because there's been rumors of a Paris lesbian tape for years now. Two actually, one from this night (NSFW) with some MTV girl whose name I can't remember and another with this girl, Playmate Nicole Lenz. It also seems unlikely that Paris would care. She lives for this kind of thing.

In my opinion, homosexuality is natural and wholesome. However, dressing up like a junior school school girl and attempting to sell one's music by appealing to sexual interest in school girls is neither natural nor wholesome.

one does not threaten to release a lie unless one is paid off, but rather one threatens to release the truth unless one is paid off.
Actually, I'm being disingenuous. The illegality of blackmail was originally class-based. THe law was founded when only the privileged class had reputations "worthy" of protection.

It would be easy enough to find things to blackmail people with... making it illegal prevents it from being a cottage industry. Although, with the entrapment TV shows like "Cheaters" and "To catch a Predator", I guess vigilante judgment is becoming acceptable.
