Valium is a wonder drug!
All those anti-depressants are nonsense , Valium is the way to go ! Wow , all your aches and anxieties just melt away . Why don't they prescribe that shit more often!

Did you ever try it?

I was injected with it 2 days ago to lower a heart rate of 170 brought on by a panic attack , and now I can't wait to get a prescription.

2. the downside
you will get physically accustomed to it, and require more and more as time goes on.

there will be times when you don't know why you are acting so angry and inconsiderate of others.

there will come a time, if you use it enough, that you won't even know how to get back to who you used to be.

7. it all depends on the person and their metabolism, as well as their thoughts
and why they are taking it in the first place.

All I can say is, be prepared to depend upon it quickly. Very fast.

Not a place I would recommend.

8. Highly addictive
It won't be long before you feel shitty when you're not high.

I also do not recommend Valium dependency. I also have an anxiety disorder, and I consider it an "emergency use only" option.

asleep for the rest of the day. I don't think I have the right metabolism for any of those. (It would make it hard to earn a living, for me anyway).

10. all the benzos are good for anxiety
they can be addictive so they are handed out sparsely by many

klonipin can be a good alternative to valium, xanax, etc because it is long acting and doesn't change your head the way those do.

Hell, valium is the ultimate muscle relaxant too...

a good drug with a bad rep, and a history of a lot of people who have abused it

I'm one who has abused it btw, and it can really mess you up with some booze along with it.

The what did I do last night phenomenon is apparent quickly with that, rather easy blackout

14. Two of my meds are also used to treat depression
So I'm getting anti-depressants as beneficial side effect. I've definitely noticed a positive difference. But then my depression was was a result of pain, so controlling the pain controls the depression. I guess, given my situation, even minor anti-depressants would work well for me if I needed them to be prescribed separately.

15. Valium is my hero
I have to get an injection in my eye every month. (I have wet form macular degenration, and would be going blind pretty fast without this injection.) I really need Valium to get through it. 10 mgs. a month isn't going to hurt me, but I certainly understand the pull to use it more. So I appreciate the stern words of warning.

22. Nah, they numb it
so it doesn't hurt, or not much. And it's over quick. Like my Dad used to say about aging, "It beats the shit out of the alternative." But it's still scary (#5 is in a couple weeks) and the valium really helps with that, almost like magic.

I appreciate your sympathetic comment. It's a rough road, and it helps to be able to whine about it now & then.

23. Be very, very careful. Valium has a very bad and well earned reputation
for turning people into zombies.

I'm not a doctor, and I don't know what causes the difference between panic attacks and chronic anxiety. What I don't understand is why any doctor prescribes anything for anxiety except Buspar.
From Wiki:

Buspirone (brand-names Ansial, Ansiced, Anxiron, Axoren, Bespar, BuSpar, Buspimen, Buspinol, Buspisal, Narol, Spitomin, Sorbon) is an anxiolytic agent and a serotonin receptor agonist belonging to the azaspirodecanedione class of compounds. Its structure is unrelated to those of the benzodiazepines, but it has an efficacy comparable to diazepam in treating generalized anxiety disorder.<1><2>

It shows no potential for addiction compared to other drugs commonly prescribed for anxiety, especially benzodiazepine medications. The development of tolerance has not been noticed. Cross-tolerance to benzodiazepines, barbiturates and alcohol does not exist. Furthermore, it is non-sedating.

Also, the difference between anti-depresents and Valium? If you are given the proper anti-depressent, you get normal. You aren't high, you aren't low. You can be happy if things are going well, you can be sad if things are going bad. Anti-depresents aren't happy pills, they're just normal pills!
