NON-control-top, NON-shaper, NON-body-squeezer, NON-circulation-choking, NON-yeast-infection-encouraging, NON-shred-when-you-touch-them hose?

1. Good luck with your search.
If guys had to wear the stuff that's designed for women then fashion would look entirely different. I can't imagine designers creating stuff that awkward and uncomfortable if it would be inflicted upon guys too.

2. Just 'cause it's not DESIGNED for us doesn't mean we can't wear it if we want to though... :P
I had to wear hose a few times when I was in an Early Music ensemble at my college. Couldn't afford, and didn't have enough need to go out and get real tights, so I had to settle for really dark hose. Not the most comfortable thing in the world, I must say.

Luckily I managed to get costumes that had pants to go on top of them. A few of the guys only got tunics, no pants. :)

7. one word: ties
Happily, those are going the way of the dinosaur except for the more formal or businesslike occasions.

9. True enough,

but you can always wear a tie slightly loose so that it doesn't constrict. If a guy is choking it's he tight collar on the shirt that's usually the problem, not the tie.

11. What's wrong with ties?
I wear one every day to work, even when I don't have to. I like a nice tie. A shirt doesn't really look right without one.

4. opaque
in my experience, opaque hose always squeeze more than the sheers. I used to like No Nonsense sheer-to-waist for squeezeless comfort, but they lasted one wearing, no more.

5. If you're willing to spend a little $$, try Wolford --
they make tights and hose, and they are truly incredibly comfortable. BUT - here's the kicker - they cost about $40-50 per pair, and you can only find them at hoity-toity stores like Saks, maybe Nordstrom. HOWEVER - I had two pair of their black tights that I wore continuously when I lived in NYC 8 years ago, and you know what? I STILL have them. No snags (except perhaps down around the foot/shoe area if the shoe leather rubbed a bit), they rinse out very easily, and as I said before, were incredibly comfortable - I actually LIKED wearing them. Every other pair of hose I've ever put on just pissed me off - uncomfortable, tight, constricting, scratchy, etc. - that goes for Leggs or Donna Karan or Calvin Klein. Wolford hose are wonderful.

Some pricey things are a rip off. These are wonderful. I love them.

16. to be honest
I hate that look. Not just a little.

About the only thing I hate more is black panty hose in the daytime in the middle of the summer.

12. Target.
Their Cherokee and Merona brands are both good, and relatively inexpensive.
