I'm runnin into that whole "what should I say" thing
It's mostly in my head. Screw it...

It is a day on the calender and I'll say Merry Christmas if I like. If it was Poinsetta Day.. I'd say Happy Poinsetta Day even if I weren't into flowers.

Jest saying.. I am me.

that is all... hic!

:D

1. I was thinkin' about that last night.
We celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, but many, many of our friends do, and we respect the joy they get from their faith and their holidays. So, it's appropriate and respectful to say, "Merry Christmas," even if it's not our big thing of the year. :)

I just did Christmas for my daughter. She is old now. When you are speaking to someone you don't know what do you do?

7. Well, we have the cheek-kissing thing here, so after I've kissed someone three times,
I don't really feel obliged to pile "Happy Holidays" on top of it. :spray:

2. I always say Happy Christmas to people I know
If I don't know them or what religion they are I just say Happy Holidays. Never had anyone blow me any crap for it.

5. Helloo Heidi!
:hi:

How are ya? Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas (or whatever you celebrate lol). I'm actually feeling under the weather tonight, but I should survive. :)

I can hardly wait to dive into my presents tomorrow morning. It's just after midnight here. Only a couple more hours!

We're fine. CMW and Ginger are still snoozin', and I'm gettin' ready to pre-make a Quiche Lorraine for dinner tonight.

I hope you're feelin' better by rippin'-into-presents-time, my friend. I wanna know what you got, m'kay???? :pals:

12. I think it's going to a food-free Christmas this year
I seem to have gotten some sort of stomach bug. The only good thing is that it doesn't seem likely I picked it up at work (hospital). Jim had this when we went up to Yosemite. I think we got it there. Some sort of noro-virus probably. Blech.

I don't think it will interfere with my present diving. Jim and I really splurged this year. I don't know what he got me, but there's a bunch of boxes under the tree. I'm sure it will be an embarrassment of riches. I went a little crazy on his stuff too. After 7 years together, this is the first year I'm gainfully employed and actually have some money. It's fun to really go all out for a change. Also, no credit cards were harmed in the making of this Christmas. LOL

9. LoL- That is sooo me!
I say Merry Christmas to ppl I know are Jewish. I've really never thought much of it. Hec, they said happy Saturday to me many times plus I always get cool cakes and stuff around Sater time. It has never been a worry until now.

I know many here in the lounge believe whatever. I hate to offend.

:hi:

13. I think the only people who would be offended are those who WANT to be offended
It's a bully tactic basically. It's not surprising that it came from our dear friend Bill O.

6. Merry Christmas seems to work for most people
Edited on Tue Dec-25-07 03:32 AM by Droopy
My family is completely secular and we get along okay with "Merry Christmas." I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think most people are okay with "Merry Christmas."
