If you want to make an Omelet, you gotta break some eggs
Just thought you might like to see what happened to Canadian Pacific train #199/13 between Glenwood, MN and Elbow Lake, MN on the morning of 12-14-07.

It happened at Barrett, MN, 32 miles west of Glenwood and 7 1/2 miles east of Elbow Lake.

The semi was loaded with eggs, and the train struck the semi trailer in front of the rear wheels, splitting the trailer in half.

3. Wow! That's no yolk!
I never would have eggspected such a thing. It will take a long time for the engineer to get ova that one. But that's what you get for playing chicken....

6. Another visual reminder to just sit back, relax, and wait for the train to pass.
Trying to "beat" the train is a losing scenario and not worth the risk.

The semi trailer is shredded. The train probably has some paint scratches.

did you find "Operation Lifesaver" to be an effective program?

14. retro
you would not believe the ass kissing that goes on for one of them jobs. they draw their salary and get paid mileage to go to all these elementary schools to talk to children about driving on the tracks. and modt of the kids they talk to wont be driving for years. but the railroad LOVES the good pr it generates

19. How did you know about "Operation Lifesaver?"
Great question, because I never heard of it, but the train engineer picked right up on it. Is it a program by a railroad consortium that provides safety materials to public schools?
