1. Well, I wouldn't go see any of them at gunpoint,

but if they're still enjoying what they're doing and still making money at it, why stop?

2. If they're enjoying it and the audience is too, they shouldn't stop.

It all depends on whether or not they can still deliver the goods. Then again, there are many people who'd buy a ticket to see a band just to say that they saw them, so I dunno...

8. That's Molly Hatchet...

...their most recent album is a live CD / DVD that's actually quite good:



...EXCEPT for the fact that something went really wrong with the DVD editing. The sound and the picture is about 3 seconds out of sync. They're a "one original member" band...founding member / guitarist Dave Hlubek, who left the band in 1986 and returned in January 2005.

6. Who the Fuck is touring as "The Beach Boys" ??

Brian Wilson is the only living person with the rights to that name, and I know he's not using it in his performances. Hell, he didn't use it when he finally released the "Smile" album 35 years late, even though it was conceived and written as a Beach Boys album.

The Who should hang it up. They were less of a band without Moon. They aren't a band at all without the Ox.

Fake Skynyrd? Not only does that tribute band SUCK, they're also Repukes. Ronnie Van Zant has to be doing triple somersaults in his grave by now.

And if I'm not mistaken, the band using the name "Molly Hatchet" has nothing at all to do with the real band, though some of the REAL Molly Hatchet members are touring under the name "Gator Road" or something like that.
