2. I used to be a size 1, but...

I wasn't gaunt, sickly looking, nor in desperate need of food. I'm just small, and had a high metabolism. Now I'm older and a size 4-6, maybe. I'm fine with it. :)

9. Size perceptions are changing.

I don't know many women who want to be a size 0... but I do know many women who think a healthy weight (sizes 8-12 or so) is somehow "too thin."

That's a greater bother to me.

10. My family and I were talking about this the other day. What was normal in the 70s and 80s looks

skinny to me now. I have gotten used to people (including myself) being rather larger than that.

food has gotten cheaper over the years, and the amount of junk food out there has exploded.

plus, fast food restaurants are a lot more common now.

12. what weirds me out about unnaturally super thin women is....

the size of their head in proportion to the rest of their body. They look like creepy bobble-head glamazons. Maybe that's the real reason for getting fake boobs...to make the balloon head look more proportional.
