Ironically, when I was living in FL, I was thinking about making a miniature still. Not to distill my alcohal with... nope. To distill the water before I used it to make my alcohal. Because Florida water is NASTY.

That, and it would be handy if the water became unsafe to drink during one of the hurricanes. :)

Never got around to doing it though. Copper tubing is so expensive these days. And now that I've moved to a place that has decent water and no hurricanes, I've got no need for it.
