Short rant on American English quirks that piss me off!
Saying "I left it home" instead of "I left it at home." Or, one of my faves "She graduated college" instead of "She graduated from college." That makes no sense as "to graduate" in that sentence is undeniably intransitive.
When did this phase start? All of a sudden I hear these constructions in English and just wonder at the English that new immigrants here are learning...
