so i found out about a friend who died unexpectedly

I saw him last Sunday at another firemans funeral....
he was a fireman.... and a coach on my sons rifle team with my husband and I, many years ago...
we hugged, kissed hello and talked....... ONE WEEK AGO

hes gone now....

Where was that picture taken? I swear I've seen that cactus before, and the surrounding desert looks familiar as well.






And back on topic.... I went to a memorial service today for a friend I've known since I was about 11 years old. He fought cancer for 6 years, but started losing the battle a few months ago. So while his passing wasn't unexpected, that doesn't make it any easier when the reality of it slams you in the face. :(
