I'm craving food like I had in Britian on this, my 28th birthday for some reason.
Crunchie bars,
Blackcurrant, especially blackcurrant jam on a nice piece of buttered toast accompanied by a cup of tea.
The hot Vietnamese noodle soup from this one stall at the Camden Lock Market.
Fanta, proper Fanta, not the shit you get here.
Irn Bru (Truly ambrosia of the gods)
Spitfire Ale, truly the best beer I have ever had the pleasure to drink.
Meat flavored Crisps, Bacon, Chicken, Steak and onion...
A proper ploughman's lunch. The Cheddar Cheese is easy enough to find, especially in Wisconsin, unfortunately Branston Pickle is a bit hard to get here in the US.
Egg and cress sarnies. (The perfect lunch as they cost about 79p and were surprisingly filling.)
Flake bars.
British style baked beans in a tomato sauce.

...if you're craving British food (but want to get away) you must go to Scotland and enjoy the Haggis!

6. Mmmm...ploughman's lunch...
Funny you should mention British food--just the other day I was fondly remembering a chicken-and-chestnut pot pie I had in York a number of years ago...It was fantastic. Can't find a recipe for it no matter how hard I try, though. :(

Happy Birthday anyway--is there a British pub in your area, by chance? Perhaps a birthday brew there might do the trick?

7. How about a Scotch Egg with that Branston pickle
If I hadn't just eaten I would head to the pub right now for one.
