I had surgery today...

Nothing serious. I had a Gingivectomy, which is a fancy way of saying that they got rid of gum tissue that was covering my teeth too much. Think Katie Couric. I had the surgery 12 hours ago, and so far, not any pain except for the injection sites.

I am paranoid...I keep on thinking that something terrible is going to happen...This time next week, I hope to be enjoying my new, white, toothy smile that was there all along!

But I'll bet you want to drink your food for at least tonight, huh?

I rather doubt that you'll have any complications!

and the friggen injection sights in dental work hurt!!!!

I will be going to get bone in my gums to build up my "space" so I can get some implants... heard it doesn't hurt from 2 people who had it done....

4. eek.

No pain still. My perio said there may be some within the next few days, but nothing extreme.

No brushing my teeth for a week which is the hardest part. I usually brush 3 times a day, and it is a huge sacrifice. There is a mouth rinse, but I look forward to brushing next Friday hopefully.
