It'll get down to 14 later tonight, which means it'll feel even colder than 5.

I'm not leaving the house unless I ABSOLUTELY have to.

3. Yeah, we've got some wind chill going on here upstate too.
It sucks, because wind means I can leave my trenchcoat open and do the cool flowing in the wind thing... but the wind makes it too frikkin' cold to do it. D'oh.

7. Yes, yes it is. :)
Before I had the animated gif of him with his head stuck in the sand and his bum on fire after being shot out of the cannon at the end of Act 2. But nobody could tell what the hell that gif was, so I switched to this one.

4. Yeah, I remember ragging on the native NYers for their totally wrong concept of "cold"
But, I'm a Wisconsin boy at heart. It's not cold until it's below zero on the Fahrenheit scale.

10. well, which part of NY... it's a big state
I grew up in a southern state where I hated it being too hot and rarely getting snow. I've split my adult life mostly between upstate NY and the Twin Cities. When people here think I'm nuts for being underdressed I just say, I spent 6 years in Minnesota, I can handle this.

This weekend has been cold but sunny, reminds me of Minnesota. It's way too gray here all winter (due to the Great Lakes I guess). More snow, warmer, but more depressing.

11. NYC
Sorry - I lived there so long, that "New York" is the city. Anything else gets called by name, or "New York State".
