[BlueIris]

"Edward Hopper, Second-Story Sunlight, 1960"

The old-timer sits on the porch, bones
Folded into a triangle. The plump
Girl beside her bulges out
of her bra (bikini?) and shorts.
Two pair of moons spill from the Spandex.
She leans over the second-story rail
In sunlight. Angled roofs rise
Beside each other like widows' peaks
or like triangular breasts, frozen
To boards on houses, side by side
As they grow mute and old. These oils
Weren't always shingles. Once,
The green and blue were oceans poured
Onto a palette from two triangular cans.
