I have a metal lined drawer, that I keep bread, cookies, etc in. It looks kind of like this:

I didn't close the top the other night--just closed the drawer, with the metal top open. When I went to get crackers for lunch, the cracker box had been nibbled on. So, I'm wondering. If the metal top doesn't automatically close when I close the drawer, can the mice get to food from the back of the drawer, if I close the metal lid before closing the drawer?

1. All you need are giant, mouse eating tarantulas.

4. That would also work to keep you out of her crackers
and kitchen, house and state. ;)

Matter of fact, I'd put her on Ignore HERE, just in case.

7. Sounds like a wise precaution.
Why on earth do I attract spidey-phobic people? Jenn's worse than you, as is OC, and LK's okay with real spiders but refuses to walk through the DVD section at the store for fear of seeing Spiderman.

8. Cuz
spidey-phobic people are like, way cool and stuff, and we take pity on the non-spidey-phobic, or as we call them "lesscools".

2. You have mice? They must be brave and/or stupid...
Cause don't you have cats?

5. Three cats and a beagle. The cats have killed one mouse.
Now we rarely see mice, just the occasional evidence they're still with us. Like nibbled-on cracker boxes. I fear they're in the walls.

3. Probably not
We know there's mice, because we've seen the cat kill (and eat) them, but we're lucky that they've never gotten into our food. And, we haven't found droppings since we've moved in.
