I can't decide...
Is this kid a genius who has invented a completely new kind of music, or just more proof that one doesn't have to be American to be an idiot?

3. I think its the other way around.
They're trying to translate rap over there and it isn't working too well. :P

4. There's a lot of US style rap in Europe, even in different languages like French and German
That was like taking Euro happy hardcore and adding a rap to it.

Happy hardcore is practically unknown in the US

5. There are references in the comments to something called "Uprising"
What I've never heard before is this weird auctioneer style of rapping. It's kind of hypnotic but irritating at the same time.

8. My DJ buddy broke it down like this

The English dance styles grow out of one another when people take their favorite part of one style's song and turn it into a whole song style. So you have styles that are just the drum breaks from other styles, etc.

In the Uprising stuff I found it seemed that the weird fast rapping was a very minor element, and this kid has turned it into a whole new style. It's awkward and clumsy, I mean the kid's like 12, but we may just have witnessed the genesis of a style. (A good, long-lived, or popular one? remains to be seen.)
