17. I had a good one earlier

in art class tonight, one of the guys there has some kind of neurological thing where certain sensations are just VERY uncomfortable for him. Unfortunately two of the big ones have to do with chalk... and our most recent project involved using chalk pastels.

So when he was presenting his, he mentioned about how it felt really uncomfortable to hold it and it just didn't feel right to him, and then when he was talking about blending the colors with his finger he said that didn't feel right to him either, but he just stuck his finger in there and kept going anyway and he was starting to get used to it.

So immediately I had to pipe up and say, "That sounds like the weirdest date I've ever been on..." :P

30. I just watched the Ninja Turtles one.

Other than the fact that he's gotten farther in the game than I have so he had a few more levels to talk about, just about everything that came out of his mouth I've said at one time or another. :P

Seriously, that game had potential. But the designers fucked it sideways without bothering to lube up first.

One of the big things that I always HATED about the old NES games is the fact that just TOUCHING an enemy caused you extreme damage and/or knocked you on your ass. Such a bad design decision. Yet it was perpetuated in almost every single (*&%ing game. And the inability to hit someone too high or low while they were completely capable of hitting you... something a lot of games suffered from.

So my perspective on the games of the era was a bit different.

That being said, I never played any of the Mega Man games as a kid, I only tried 'em on an emulator recently. Couldn't really get into them. Maybe I'm missing something.

It's the angst, man. I'm listening to Nirvana to make it all better. I feel a sort of angsty and like I'm coming out of my skin. I haven't had any drugs unless faeries came in and blessed me with a resounding yes to my wish for massive amounts of drugs tonight. I didn't take any drugs, but I'm totally tweaking tonight as if I did some or wanna get some. Not sure which and don't really care. I'm listening to Nirvana. It's all good.
