Well, I slipped on a patch of ice on my way to work

And fell and banged up my knee. It was kind of bloody. I got to work and luckily they have a first aid kit here. I washed up the blood and put a gauze thing on it. But there's a hole on my slacks where it was torn from the fall.

It's not the end of the world or death or anything, but a truly crappy way to start the day.

5. Sorry to hear that. I slipped on my back steps last night...

on my way to dinner at a friend's house. Fortunately the cake I was carrying (in a covered cake pan) broke my fall... I was not hurt, but we did have to pick pieces of the plastic lid out of the cake. I also managed to save the 1.75 L bottle of Merlot I was carrying :bounce:
