Need help identifying a Stan Kenton tune...
Rather, a Stan Kenton arrangement.

Back in the late 1960s, Kenton recorded a tune titled "Here Comes that Rainy Day" or at least that's what I remembered the title to be. I've looked for the sheet music for this, including fake books, and haven't found it yet. I keep running into another song titled "Here Comes that Rainy Day Feeling Again" from the 1970s.

Anyway, maybe I don't have the title correct. I do believe the last line of the song reads, "(Funny)...Here Comes that Rainy Day." I believe the word "funny" appears at the beginning of the line, but could be wrong.

Here is the opening melody as best as I can transcribe it here:

F - F - - F - F - Bb - D - F - F - - Eb - -D Eb - - -
F - F - - F - F - A - C - Eb- D - - - - - - - - - -

Any thoughts?

Thanks! :hi:

Here's That Rainy Day - composed by van Heusen & Burke; arranged by Dee Barton; as performed by the Stan Kenton Orchestra

Here's that rainy day
They told me about
After you brought your love so (or "lover") near
Funny, how love becomes a cold rainy day
Funny, that rainy day is here.

Where's that worn-out wish that I threw aside?
After you brought my love so near...

"Some or all of this may or may not be accurate... just a memory." Regards, Radio Lady
