I honestly don't mind the rain- I was just out driving in it and was having a good old time raising a wake on the roadway. The thing that DOES bug me, however, is the apartment building parking lot- across the fence is a storm drainage ditch that overflows after about five minutes. The rest of the rain literally floods my parking lot two feet deep in places- it BECOMES a torrent that can drown cars and sweep people off their feet.

If there's one thing I dislike is wet shoes, so when heading for the breezeway I simply took 'em off, rolled up my pants legs and dove in.

Some days you simply know when it's time to go back to bed.

He has to drive to Southwestern from Irving and didn't want to deal with the traffic on 35. I suspect he also wanted to listen to
Obama's speech, which he did get to do.
